He was previously a partner with a specialist private equity-focused search firm, after working for Russell Reynolds and Whitehead Mann.

He joined the search industry from a career as a British army officer in the Brigade of Gurkhas. Mark has lived and worked in Europe, the Middle East, and Asia. He holds a degree in Anthropology from University College London.
