Client Mandate

The deal included a limited, short-term TSA for finance, IT, and other functions. The client wanted to identify and begin to build out a new management team to ensure they got off to a fast start if/when the deal closed.

 

Vardis Outcomes

Following its management evaluation and investment thesis review, which were aided by the Advisors Vardis introduced, we worked with the Ops team to recruit key leaders who relocated the business to Houston and rebranded as BlueLine Rental.

Vardis recruited key leaders to the Company, all of whom were onboarded less than 60 days after close.

  • CEO – Drove another PE business to a liquidity event.  Now CEO of a third PE backed business
  • CFO – Now CFO of of his third company within the Platinum portfolio
  • Controller – Became CFO of another portfolio company and then and operating partner for a large cap investor
  • VP FP&A – Was CFO of another PE business through a  liquidity event and has since joined a large, PE-backed packaging company as CFO
  • Head of Branch Ops – Since President of another company within the Platinum portfolio and now CEO of a publicly traded company
  • CIO/CDO – Currently an Operating Partner in a highly regarded middle market firm
  • RVP, East – The key retained executive from the carve-out is now CEO of $1.5B PE-backed company

 

BlueLine  Outcomes

Within 6 months, BlueLine dividended back to the shareholder all of its initial equity.

Within 4 years, the company was prepped to IPO when it was acquired by United Rentals for over $2B.
