Nick Cirella Joins Superlinear as General Counsel

Vardis is pleased to announce the placement of Nick Cirella as General Counsel at Superlinear.

Nick is a seasoned legal executive with over 13 years of experience spanning law firm practice and senior in-house roles at leading investment firms. Most recently, he served as COO, CCO, and General Counsel at Fin Venture Capital Management, a $1.5 billion AUM asset manager focused on venture and growth equity in the fintech sector. At Fin, Nick led all operational, legal, finance, and compliance functions, overseeing fund formation, deal execution, and due diligence for a portfolio of over 120 companies across eight separate funds. He also spearheaded contract and operational negotiations for a complex $300 million single-investor co-GP fund structure and served as an observer on the Investment Committee.

Prior to Fin, Nick served as General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer at Steadview Capital Management, a multi-national, multi-strategy technology investment fund, where he managed transaction negotiation and due diligence across various sectors including biotech, crypto/web3, SaaS, and manufacturing. Earlier in his career, he held legal positions at Temasek Holdings, Farallon Capital Management, Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati, and Willkie Farr & Gallagher, building deep expertise in private equity transactions, regulatory compliance, and complex deal execution.

Nick holds a Master of Information and Data Science from UC Berkeley, a J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law where he served as Editor-in-Chief of the Virginia Journal of Law and Technology, and a B.A. in Physics with a secondary field in Computer Science from Harvard University. He is admitted to practice in New York and California.
