Vardis is pleased to announce the placement of Rob Williams as Vice President of Sales at Basetwo.

Basetwo, a fast-growing Toronto-based startup developing an AI co-pilot platform for manufacturing optimization, has appointed Rob Williams to lead their sales strategy and drive enterprise growth. Rob brings over 20 years of enterprise software sales leadership experience to this pivotal role.

Most recently, as Vice President of Sales at JuliaHub, a cloud-based scientific computing platform that accelerates modeling and simulation using the Julia programming language, Rob scaled revenue while securing major enterprise accounts and a strategic investment from Boeing via Aero Equity Partners. His success at JuliaHub included closing enterprise agreements with major organizations including Pfizer, Bristol Myers, GSK, Merck, Roche, Boeing, and ASML.

Previously, as Chief Customer Officer at Plotly, a company that creates interactive JavaScript-based data visualization tools that compete with Power BI, Tableau, and D3.js in the technical analytics market, Rob successfully built and scaled the enterprise sales function while significantly reducing year-over-year churn. His earlier career includes leadership positions at E Ink, Dynadec, TotalView Technologies, and MathWorks, where he consistently demonstrated his ability to build high-performing sales teams and successfully navigate complex technical sales to enterprise clients with extended sales cycles.

At Basetwo, Rob will play a key role in shaping revenue strategy, building a world-class sales team, and expanding market presence as the company continues its mission to make manufacturing faster, smarter, and more resilient through its AI co-pilot platform.

Rob holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Tennessee.
