London: Vardis is pleased to announce that Josh King has joined the firm and will lead the firm’s Tech practice and launch a new functional initiative recruiting Chief Information, Chief Technology, Chief Digital, Chief Data and Chief Digital Officers (CIOs and CDOs).
“This is an important step for us,” says John Hoagland, US Managing Partner. “Tech and tech-enabled services represent a significant portion of our work already. Bringing the expertise to attract functional leaders – CIOs, CDOs, CISOs, the whole range of talent – is increasingly important as digital transformation becomes central to value creation, irrespective of industry.”
Josh was previously a Partner at a US-based retained search firm where he served as a Partner and led their recruiting in technology. He served corporate, growth equity and VC clients in the Technology and Financial Services industries (particularly AI, SaaS, and FinTech) and in the recruitment of functional technology executives across a range of industries. He will be based in the firm’s Boston offices.
“I am thrilled to be joining the Vardis team,” says King. “The firm’s focus on talent and search as a tool for solving client business problems – and not just a means to an end – is exciting.”
Prior to executive search, King led sales activities for a private equity-backed data aggregation and software company. He has been a featured author and speaker for Harvard Business Review, CIO Magazine, Financial Times and the MIT Sloan Management Review.
He currently serves on the Advisory Board of IADSS (the Initiative for Analytics & Data Science Standards), B/Spoke and Harvard Club of Boston’s Advisory Board. He previously served on Handel & Haydn Society’s Digital Advisory Board and as an Advisor to MassChallenge, a global startup accelerator and competition with a focus on high-impact, early-stage entrepreneurs.
