Vardis Places CEO and CFO at Roman Stone

Project

Roman Stone Construction Company, a 120-year old precast concrete products company headquartered in Bay Shore, Long Island, has appointed Daniel Murray and Benjamin Griffith as CEO and CFO, respectively. Vardis is pleased to have supported Roman Stone’s Board of Directors in these important appointments.

These appointments follow the retirement of long-time CEO, Tom Montalbine, whose family founded the company in 1903. “On behalf of the entire Board of Directors, I would like to sincerely thank Tom Montalbine for his successful leadership of Roman Stone since 2002. We wish him the very best in retirement and look forward to working with him as a Board member,” said John P. Danner, Chairman of Roman Stone and founder of The Alzana Group. He added “We are thrilled to have attracted a new CEO of the caliber of Daniel Murray, with his deep operational experience, strong leadership skills, and long track record of delivering quality products and excellent service to customers.” Murray previously held a series of leadership roles with market leader Oldcastle Infrastructure.

Ben Griffith joins the company as CFO and brings to the company 20 years of financial executive experience across numerous manufacturing companies, ranging from start-ups to large publicly traded companies. "We warmly welcome Ben Griffith to the executive team, as our new CFO,” said Murray. “I look forward to partnering with him to build the capabilities the company will need on our journey to expand capacity, develop new products, and further improve financial performance … all while maintaining steadfast focus on delivering quality products and services to our customers.”
