Vardis is pleased to announce the appointment of Kyle Indermuehle as Chief Executive Officer of GovHost. Kyle, who previously drove a 9x revenue increase as CEO of Integrated Computer Systems (ICS), brings over two decades of leadership experience in SaaS, public safety, and government technology sectors.
GovHost is uniquely positioned to address the pressing needs of municipal police departments with its modern, cloud-based Records Management System (RMS). These solutions enable local agencies to centralize investigative data, manage evidence, and enhance operational efficiency, targeting police departments often overlooked by larger competitors. Backed by Nautic Partners, GovHost is executing a bold buy-and-build strategy to expand its offerings in public safety and administrative software.
The Search Process: Aligning Expertise with Opportunity
Vardis conducted an extensive national search to identify a leader capable of navigating GovHost's carve-out from VC3 while accelerating its growth trajectory. The ideal candidate needed deep experience in municipal government technology, proven success in scaling SaaS companies, and a nuanced understanding of M&A and integration strategies.
Kyle stood out for his proven track record at ICS, where he achieved transformative success by building a high-performing sales and marketing team that ultimately led to the company's successful acquisition by Versaterm, a portfolio company of Banneker Partners. His blend of technical expertise and business acumen is reflected in his educational background, holding an MBA from UCLA Anderson, a Master of Science in Structural Engineering from UC San Diego, and a Bachelor of Science in Aeronautical & Astronautical Engineering from Purdue University.
The Vision for Growth
As CEO, Kyle will focus on serving small and mid-sized municipalities with high-value, affordable solutions to address critical market needs. His immediate priorities include expanding GovHost's technology suite and geographic reach through both organic growth and strategic acquisitions.
Over the next three to five years, GovHost plans to acquire multiple businesses, further strengthening its technology suite and geographic reach. With a focus on innovation and customer success, the company aims to transform how municipal governments adopt and utilize technology to enhance public safety and administrative efficiency. This is particularly critical as municipalities increasingly prioritize transparency, cloud adoption, and operational excellence in response to public demand.

By focusing on small- and medium-sized municipalities, GovHost is redefining what's possible for communities that often face budgetary constraints and resource limitations.
Kyle’s Leadership: A Glimpse Ahead
Kyle’s leadership philosophy—focused on collaboration, agility, and results—aligns seamlessly with GovHost’s goals. As CEO, he will prioritize scaling the company’s offerings, building a professionalized salesforce, and driving meaningful improvements in product capabilities.
